US Government Want Wikileaks.org Twitter Accounts Monday, January 10, 2011, 10:02:29 AM In a bid to crack down on Wikileaks.org the US government has issued a subpoena to microblogging site Twitter.com for the personal details of the registered Wikileaks and Anonymous accounts users. In order to do so, the Government had to provide evidence that the want for such information was “”relevant and material to an ongoing criminal investigation” which was unsurprisingly accepted. The Government reportedly asked for the details of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, Pfc Manning who stole the cables, Dutch hacker Rop Gonggrijp and US programmer Jacob Appelbaum, both of whom have previously worked with Wikileaks and Icelandic MP Birgitta Jonsdottir.
