US Government Want Wikileaks.org Twitter Accounts Monday, January 10, 2011, 10:02:29 AM In a bid to crack down on Wikileaks.org the US government has issued a subpoena to microblogging site Twitter.com for the personal details of the registered Wikileaks and Anonymous accounts users. In order to do so, the Government had to provide evidence that the want for such information was “”relevant and material to an ongoing criminal investigation” which was unsurprisingly accepted. The Government reportedly asked for the details of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, Pfc Manning who stole the cables, Dutch hacker Rop Gonggrijp and US programmer Jacob Appelbaum, both of whom have previously worked with Wikileaks and Icelandic MP Birgitta Jonsdottir.

A real-time performance graph of 4chan following DDoS attacks, as posted on Netcraft (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Community site 4chan ( www.4chan.org ) suffered another distributed denial of service attack Monday, according to a report by Web analytics firm Netcraft . Many of the individuals in pro-WikiLeaks hackers group Anonymous are also members of 4chan’s boards. Despite this, there has been no evidence that the current attack is connected to any of the previous DDoS attacks launched by Anonymous

Wikileaks.org and CableGate Mirrors to be Taken Down Over DDoS Attack Fears Thursday, December 23, 2010, 12:02:41 PM The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) reported yesterday that after the whistle-blowing site Wikileaks.org was taken down; its successive mirrors are next in the firing line. Hosting provider SiteGround.com has suspended the account of a user who was mirroring some of the 250,000 leaked CableGate documents on his own website. SiteGround claimed that, by doing so, the user ‘severely’ violated its terms of use and acceptable use policy.
