Businesses looking to introduce cloud computing into their IT infrastructure are being advised to establish realistic and balanced service-level agreements (SLAs) with service providers to reduce risks and enjoy the full benefits of the technology. Writing for InformationWeek, Jonathan Feldman has advised CIOs not to be “dismissive” of the cloud, a technology that can help boost efficiency and reduce costs, and offers a three-tiered plan for businesses to consider when looking to introduce the technology. First, businesses need to understand why they are interested in cloud and what aspects of their business are in need of improvement, as service providers are then able to better tailor the technology to their specific requirements.
