A quiet week in the week to 16 January for the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales that saw no six-figure sales.

Last month, Swishmail and ServInt took the top positions in the most reliable hosting company sites in December 2010 . Since four of the Web hosts this month saw no failed requests at all to their websites, they are ranked by average connection time.

If Americans could spell, the top selling domain name for the week to 5 December could easily gone for a much higher price. The domain, color.com, sold for $350,000 through Go Daddy to easily top the Domain Name Journal sales chart, almost seven times the amount the next highest domain name sold for. Of course, “color” does not mean a lot to Brits, Aussies, Kiwis and other English speakers
Beem.com was the week’s top selling domain name according to Domain Name Journal’s weekly list of reported sales to 21 November. Beem.com sold for $136,000 through Sedo, with Sedo taking the top four positions on the top 20 chart, ten of the top 11 (there was a tie for 10th) and 14 of the top 20. Beem.com was the only sale that made it into the six-figure mark during the week with BlackFridaySales second selling for $90,000 and then LittleAngels.com third ($50,000) while the week’s top ccTLD sale came in at fourth (AG.de (€30,000 / $40,200).
The owners of RedWine.com may have opened a special bottle of red when the domain name sold for $150,000, making it the top sale of the week to 3 October according to Domain Name Journal’s list of top reported sales. The next biggest sale was UG.de, which sold for €50,000 ($69,500), both names selling through Sedo along with 14 of the top 20 sales. IPO.com was the top selling domain name in the week to 26 September according to Domain Name Journal’s list of top reported domain name sales, selling for $500,000 through Sedo. IPO.com sold for more than six times the amount of the next biggest sale of the week, AirTickets.com, which sold for $80,000, also through Sedo.
