RivalHost has announced that it has become the only shared Web hosting provider to achieve an APS 400 rating by UptimeSafe. The honor comes as a result of maintaining 99.99 percent uptime in its shared hosting environment over a three month qualification period. Remarkably, this represents less than 12 minutes of downtime over 90 days

Hosting company DediPower is to provide full web-hosting for The BRIT Awards 2011 with MasterCard for a second year. DediPower is using its partnership with The BRIT Awards to demonstrate its services and its new Content Delivery Network. Andy Makeham, CEO of K3 Managed Services (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — UK managed hosting firm K3 Managed Services ( www.k3btg.com ) announced on Thursday it has acquired a unit of business management software firm FD Systems ( www.fdsystems.co.uk ) for $1.9 (£1.25) million. K3 has bought a division of FD Systems which supplies the Sage Line 200 suite of business management software to small and medium-sized firms. With products ranging from integrated back office, operations, CRM, ecommerce and supply chain management, FD Systems has annual revenues of $3.6 million and profits of $771,400
