IOMART, the Scottish web-hosting and data storage company, yesterday said it has recently signed four contracts worth £1.8 million on the increasing demand for cloud computing services, writes Mark Smith. AIM-listed Iomart, which has its headquarters in Glasgow, also said it was now closing between 30 and 40 new orders per month from both new and existing customers. Cloud computing is internet-based computing resources – such as storage, email and other services – provided to computers and other devices on demand, much like the electricity grid
