Cloud Web Hosting Amazon has announced plans that they will be coming together with Oracle to enhance their Cloud Hosting services.

The expansion of top level domains (TLDs) is the focus of an upcoming conference in San Francisco in February 2011. The .nxt conference is aimed to discuss the proliferation of new generic TLDs and examine all aspects of this new piece of internet infrastructure from applying for a gTLD and running the necessary technical systems to finding investors, marketing and differentiating the new extension. ICANN is likely to call for applications for new gTLDs in May 2011 and this conference will give all the information prospective applicants are likely to need to know.

Nokia appears to be interested in applying for the .NOKIA top level domain according to a Domain Incite report. During a meeting of ICANN’s vertical integration working group on 30 August Nokia working group representative Tero Mustala said, “our company is considering the possibilities to apply for a new gTLD” according to the report
