Twitter said the new facility will provide it with “a much larger footprint in a building designed specifically around [its] unique power and cooling needs,” while housing “a mixed-vendor environment for servers running open source OS and applications”. The company first revealed it would move to a new data center at the company’s Chirp developer conference back in April, however, it did not specify at the time whether it would be operating its own data center or leasing space at a wholesale data center.

Email authentication promised to end phishing and spoofing by giving businesses a way to identify their email and giving mailbox providers a means to block malicious email that pretended to be from a well-known brand, however, many companies have struggled to implement the standards correctly or consistently. According to Truedomain’s Tuesday announcement, the launch of the Truedomain Antiphishing Network at the Silicon Valley 2010 showcase comes at the same time that company announced it has secured $1.2 million in seed funding to fuel its research and development, and customer acquisition initiatives. Truedomain has already validated its technology with its successful beta deployment with email services provider FastMail ( www.fastmail.fm ).
