Amazon Web Services Launches Japan Datacenters for Its Cloud Computing Platform

Web Hosting News – SEATTLE – Amazon Web Services LLC (AWS), an Amazon.com company, today announced the launch of its new Asia Pacific (Tokyo) Region, the fifth Region in which the company has deployed its global cloud computing platform. Japan-based businesses and global companies with customers in Japan can now leverage the AWS suite of infrastructure web services to build their businesses and run their applications in the cloud. Starting today, AWS is also offering support in Japanese for any customer with a Japanese language preference

The 1&1 Mobile Server Monitoring App allows 1&1 users to monitor the availability of their dedicated, virtual and cloud servers and the network services they are executing.  The customer will also be notified automatically if there are any changes regarding the server status. The app lets customers remotely monitor all of their 1&1 servers including HTTP, HTTPS, SSH and ping are monitored.  The current service status is shown in green if the service is available and red in the event that the service is unavailable.  Additionally, customers can view the history of the past 7 days to get a broad overview.

09|10|2010 5:31 pm EDT .ORG Prices To Increase April 2011 by Frank Michlick in Categories: Registries , Up to the Minute – 0 Comments In an announcement sent to registrars, the Public Interest Registry (PIR) announced that they would follow suit with the recent Verisign increases and increase prices for .ORG domains to $7.21 per domain name year on April 1st, 2011. The announcement reads: This is a notice by Public Interest Registry (PIR), pursuant to Section 7.3(B) of the Registry Agreement between the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and PIR, of a price increase for .ORG domain name registrations. Effective on April 1, 2011, at 0:00 UTC, the fee charged for domain name initial registrations, domain name renewals, and for transferring a domain name from one ICANN-accredited registrar to another will be US$7.21 per domain registration year
