ISOC-IL, the registry for .IL (Israel), has announced they will soon be making available domain names containing Hebrew characters, like איגוד-האינטרנט.org.il. Prior to general availability, ISOC-IL is launching a Sunrise process. There will be four phases in the lead up to making Hebrew .IL domain names available to the general public

The CZ.NIC Association, the registry for .CZ domain names, has announced there are now more than 700,000 .CZ domain names registered. The 700,000th .CZ domain name was registered on 4 August and it took ten months to register the last 100,000 domain names
