SoftLayer Reported that its CEO Lance Crosby was named to the CLOUD2 commission (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting and cloud computing provider SoftLayer Technologies ( www.softlayer.com ) announced this week that its chief executive officer Lance Crosby has been named a commissioner on the TechAmerica Foundation’s commission on the leadership opportunity in US deployment of the cloud, known as CLOUD2. The commission was assembled, says SoftLayer, to make recommendations on how the US government should deploy cloud technologies and “address policies that might hinder US leadership in the cloud for the commercial space.” More information on the commission on the leadership opportunity in the US deployment of the cloud , and its mandate, is available from the TechAmerica website.
