ICANN has announced their 42nd meeting will be held in Dakar, Senegal, from 24 to 28 October 2011. The meeting, the third and final of their scheduled meetings for 2011 has been announced quite late given that they have already confirmed their third and final meeting in October 2012 meeting will be held in Toronto, Canada.

ICANN has confirmed that the meeting that was originally scheduled to be held in Amman, Jordan, will be held in Singapore from 19-24 June 2011. The announcement confirms our report last week that the meeting in Amman was cancelled due to the current unrest in the Middle East and that it would be moved to Singapore.

ICANN have officially announced the upcoming meeting to be held in Amman, Jordan, has been cancelled while rumours are circulating that it will be moved to Singapore, following the unrest across the Middle East, including in Jordan. Rumours were circulating at the Domain Pulse meeting in Vienna last Thursday and Friday were the meeting will be held in Singapore, although there has been no official confirmation from ICANN.
