A screen shot of the defacement letter Anonymous posted to HBGary Federal’s website (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — The pro-WikiLeaks hacker group Anonymous has reportedly “unplugged” HBGary ( www.hbgary.com ) from the Internet after the hackers compromised the security firm’s network over the weekend, accessing about 50,000 corporate emails and private information, according to a report by SC Magazine . The group claimed responsibilty for the attack, which was apparently motivated by HBGary Federal CEO Aaron Barr’s plans to release vital information about Anonymous.
