There were more non-.COM domain names in the weekly Domain Name Journal top 20 list in the week to 18 July than .COM names for the second consecutive week, the first time this has happened in the seven years in which DNJ has been compiling its weekly list of reported domain name sales. In both weeks there were 11 non-.COM domains and obviously nine .COM domains. And fitting in with the inroads the non.COM names are making into the sales charts, it was poker.ca with the top sale of the week, selling for $400,000 through Moniker/SnapNames.
07|21|2010 12:18 pm EDT BC Government Gambling Website Brought Down by Privacy Breach by Frank Michlick in Categories: Up to the Minute – 0 Comments Apparently the Online Gambling site by the Province of British Columbia was not brought down by too much traffic after opening, as originally reported . The Globe and Mail now reports that the site was actually taken down because of a breach privacy that allowed players to see other player’s financial information and even use their funds for gambling.
