September 2, 2011 — Internet backbone and colocation provider Hurricane Electric announced on Friday that it is partnering with Internet Society Hong Kong to launch the first IPv6 Certification Program in Asia. According to the press release, it will be the first non-English global IPv6 certification program since it will be conducted in Chinese.

July 29, 2011 — Email and collaboration hosted solutions provider SherWeb announced on Friday it has launched its new affiliate program through the Commission Junction platform, as well as revamped its current reseller program. The move comes a few months after SherWeb announced it acquired hosted email provider DNAmail, a a division of DSL Extreme.

July 29, 2011 — Management software and solutions provider CA Technologies announced on Friday that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held SaaS-based monitoring firm WatchMouse. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to the press release, WatchMouse uses a globally-distributed infrastructure of more than 60 monitoring stations in more than 40 countries.

July 22, 2011 — UK Web hosting provider UKFast announced on Friday it has released a new security report that shows how credit card details are as openly available, leaving consumers open to fraud and businesses at risk of costly legal action. In a recent study titled “Data Security – Protecting Your Profits”, UKFast found that relatively simple Google searches reveal personal indentification details.

The move comes a month after Level 3 announced it expanded its network services into Telx’s New Jersey data center.

July 22, 2011 — IT services provider CSC announced on Friday it has named IT and telecom industry veteran Narendra Nayak the head of its newly-formed sales efforts focused on the Indian domestic market. The announcement comes a few months after CSC partnered with cloud security firm Symplified to build a cloud-based identity and access management solution, CloudIAM.
