50,000 free .NG domain names have been released by the Nigerian registry, the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) with the aim of assisting to help Nigerians identify with the country’s Golden Jubilee celebrations. Registration commenced on 31 December and will run until 21 March and is part of a Re-branding Nigeria Project.

The ongoing Kentucky online gambling case where the state of Kentucky seized 141 domain names relating to online gambling is set to return to court on 6 December, Poker News Daily reports. Many of the online gambling website operators have been represented by the Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association, or iMEGA.
