Metal.com is the biggest seller in Domain Name Journal’s list of top reported domain name sales in the week to 28 February, selling for $165,000. Second was stockprices.com ($60,000) and both were sold by Sedo as were five of the top ten and twleve of the top 20

The sale of poker.org for $1 million was the biggest sale in the three weeks to 21 February according to Domain Name Journal’s list of reported domain name sales. The sale was the largest .ORG sale ever with the previous record being engineering.org, sold several years ago for $198,000

ICANN has given another update on the situation with their planning to deal with the security issues at the upcoming meeting in Nairobi in March. While they continue to monitor the situation, there will also be increased access to remote participation and there is a board meeting scheduled for 19 February to “give the Board a final opportunity to review the situation and plans.” There will also be a policy update briefing meeting provided by ICANN Policy Staff on Thursday, 25 February at 13.00 and 19.00 UTC, summarising policy issues across the different ICANN Supporting Organizations, namely the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO), Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO) and Address Supporting Organization (ASO).
