According to the press release, the latest version of Endpoint Protection blocks threats missed by “traditional signature, heuristic, behavioral and HIPS-based security solutions.” Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 is powered by Insight, the company’s cloud-based reputation technology. Symantec says that Insight has analyzed the anonymous software adoption patterns from more than 175 million customer computers to automatically derive security ratings for more than 2.5 billion unique software files.
.FR domain name registrations increased by 21 per cent in 2009 according to the latest Domain Name Industry report released by AFNIC, the registry for .FR domains. The growth in .FR registrations is a ten point percentage lead over the average growth rate for other top level domains, although the growth in .FR was held back by restrictive registration practices that were only eased in the last few years.

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — After placing the highest bid for the in-demand domain last month, Clover Holdings has now officially bought the domain sex.com for $13 million following the bankruptcy of former domain owner Escom ( www.escom.com ), proving yet again the adage that sex sells. Domain name firm Sedo ( www.sedo.com ), which oversaw the sale on behalf of Escom in accordance with an order issued by the US Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California , announced the sale Wednesday evening.
