A widespread web attack that hit domains parked at web hosting provider Network Solutions affected far fewer domains than previously estimated, according to the company’s preliminary analysis of the attack.

An update to the report posted Sunday says the compromise has since been patched by Network Solutions, at least temporarily, by commenting out the code to prevent it from loading.
