GlobalSign Adds Malware Scanning Services from Armorize

Now offered as a trial to GlobalSign customers, the HackAlert solution makes uses both behavioral profiling and signature extraction to reliably detect drive-by downloads, links to content that has been blacklisted, and malware attacks executed via third- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Secure Sockets Layer certificate provider GlobalSign ( www.globalsign.com ) and Web application security firm Armorize ( www.armorize.com ) have partnered to deliver Armorize’s malware scanning services to GlobalSign SSL certificate customers. According to GlobalSign’s Tuesday announcement, the partnership will enable all GlobalSign OrganizationSSL, ExtendedSSL and Managed SSL customers to benefit from 30 days of free malware scanning through Armorize’s HackAlert service

An update to the report posted Sunday says the compromise has since been patched by Network Solutions, at least temporarily, by commenting out the code to prevent it from loading.
