I want to transfer my existing domain name to another host provider, what is the easiest way i can do this?
I registered a domain name a few months ago with a little known company. The problem is the company’s service is a piece of crap – half the time their name servers are down. So I want to transfer that domain name to godaddy. So how do I go about it? Do I need to notify the old registrar and get their permission or can I just pay godaddy for the transfer and have it take place?
Someone I cannot have any relationship with anymore bought me the domain for my website. I am an author and there has been plenty of hits now on my website, so I don’t want to change it.
Anyone know the process for having the domain transfered into my name from the original purchaser’s?
Any ideas at all on this will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

New top-level domain names: offer online opportunities for franchisors: if you miss this opportunity, there may not be another one anytime soon.: An article from: Franchising World
I own a company and the domain name is already taken and used by another company that only uses it to redirect people to there main site. So they dont even need it. I contacted them and they are willing to sell me the domain name. She told me to make her an offer and I am trying to figure out a ballpark figure to offer her. Please be realistic. Thanks.
