Reported domain name sales volumes across all extensions for the first three quarters of 2014 has been up almost 20 percent compared to the same period in 2013 according to Domain Name Journal. But that didn’t stop the top reported sale for the week ending 19 October being the relatively low (for a top of the chart sale) $40,000 sale of in a sale through DomainMarket. Coming in second and third were, selling for $16,800 and €12,000 ($15,240) respectively with both sales brokered by Sedo. Overall there were 15 .com sales, four for .net and one each for .de and .fr on the chart with a three-way tie for 19th place. And Sedo took out places two to 21 on the sales outlet.
